118 - The Mysterious Event

As we headed back to the hotel entrance, our path was blocked by one of the strong black leopards. "Excuse me!?" Lace said loudly, trying to shove past the leopard. He didn't move, like an iron strong statue. "You can't come in. An important event is going on inside," he said with a frown. "Important event? I never heard of one. I always get informed about stuff like that..." Lace said, tilting her head in confusion. "Oh, little penguin, you can't know everything. Some very important people are in there," the leopard replied calmly. "What? How do you know? How do I know? Let us through!" Lace squealed, barreling into the leopard and doing no damage, just stumbling backwards and standing back beside Lime and I. "Is there a password or something?" I asked, trying to find a way back into the hotel. "Password? No! Of course not!" The black leopard cackled. "Just an event. And plushies like you aren't allowed in." Lace frowned. "Why not?" she said angrily. "Their room is in that hotel!" The black leopard shrugged. "Too bad. Like I said, there is an important event in there with important people, and you're not allowed in." Lace looked flustered. She opened her beak and then closed it quickly. Lime glanced at me and I looked back at her.
                                                          Something was going on.
                                                         Something not right.

117 - The Pool

Our parents returned and had a quick chat with Lace, deciding that we should all go to the pool. Lime and I jumped with excitement along the way, following down the wooden steps to the hotel pool. It was a bit lonely and nobody was there, but Lime and I made the best of it and leapt in, creating splashed and playing pool games.  All the while, Lace kept a watchful eye, sitting on the wooden benches and watching us play. Afterwards we got out of the pool and dried off with thick, wooly towels. The Llamas that had arrived at Jamaa were quite good weavers, and had made the bed sheets and towels for Paraclaw Resorts, according to the knowledgeable Lace. We went and got ice-cream from the nearby ice cream stand and enjoyed the cool, creamy ice-cream under the warm sun. Finally, we had to return to the room, and abandoned the joyful pool and ice-cream to return to room 302.

116 - Introductions and Tour Guides

As our parents checked in, Lime got her room key from her mom and we raced into an elevator, heading for the third floor. Our room was 302. Lime and I raced out of the elevator just as excited and down the hall towards 302. We paused outside the big, well painted white door. Just as Lime slid in the key card, a pink penguin came waddling towards them. "Hello!" She called. "Are you Lemon and Lime, the children of Mr. Swift and Mrs. Stroodle?" She asked. Lime and I nodded. "Who are you, though?" I asked as Lime and I entered the room, the pink penguin following us inside. "I'm Lace, a tour guide around here. We've got an indoor pool and beach entrance closest to you is numbered 217." Lime nodded. "Cool." We both looked into the room. It was large and luxurious with 2 couches, some chairs, a TV, beds, duh, bamboo in a pot, a fluffy yellow carpet, and a balcony with a hammock.  "Wow..." we both said, gaping jaws. "Yup! You've got one of the rooms a floor about club level, so you can eat breakfast one floor down!" Lace said excitedly. I grinned broadly. This vacation seemed awesome already, and now we befriended a tour guide of our own.

115 - Paraclaw Resort and Roomkeys

The plane landed and we rolled our wheeled luggage along a pretty path decorated with flowers and bushes. My father announced, "Here we are, Paraclaw Resort!" Lime and I gazed up at the tall hotel, admiring every polished window and well groomed hedge. "C'mon, we're going," Lime's mother called, and we both pranced after our parents. We met up with two pitch black leopards. Lime and I exchanged glances. The leopards looked suspicious, but I tried to shake off that thought as my father and Lime's mother took a room key and headed through the open doors.

114 - Plushie Island

As time slipped towards the summer and pools and beaches opened, Lime and I's parents had put their money together to afford plane tickets and two hotel rooms for Plushie Island. I quickly grabbed our only computer and Lime and I googled photos, excited for what this Plushie Paradise might look like. We both grinned broadly as we selected an image and looked at the clear blue water and the soft sand, and all the smiling plushies walking about. This would be awesome!

This picture was taken in SpiritWolf4606's den, and I suggest you check out this AWESOME Jammer!

Issue 113- Easter Egg Hunt

I was surprised to find the next day, the adults had planned for us an Eater Egg Hunt. They grouped us into teams to search. Whoever found the most eggs and gained the most  point by the end of the game won. One egg, a large golden one, was worth 150 points, but was quite difficult to find then collect. The rest of the eggs were worth 20 points. I was in a group with a peppy eagle who couldn't exactly fly called Clover and a confident giraffe called Coal. I, of course, was also teamed with my best friend Lime. We left the cottages in the morning and jumped straight into the game. The first couple eggs were easy, but as time went on they got harder to find. While Lime and I plucked a lapis blue egg from behind a bush, we heard Clover call out, "Hey! I found the golden egg!" We rushed over excitedly, Lime hopping along with the blue egg clutched in her paw. We placed it in the neat pile in front of us. Levitating in thin air was a giant golden egg, the sun catching it to make it glow beautifully. "It's not that hard. Clover, just flutter over there," Coal snorted. Clover widened his eyes with fear. "I can't flap over there! It's too far! I can't really fly anyway, either!" he squawked. "Anyway, it would be too heavy for one to carry alone," I pointed out.  Lime was thinking hard, I could tell. "Why don't we use something to pull it towards us?" she suggested, gesturing to a block of boards they had found a red egg in before.  "Yes! we can pull it towards us with the planks!" Coal shouted. "Aren't I so smart?" he boasted. Lime and I rolled our eyes. "Mhmm. Totally,"
Together we lifted a board and stretched it across the sky, touching the egg then pulling it and making it glide towards us. Finally, it landed on solid ground, gaining us 150 points. A while later, bells rung over the hideout,  claiming the end of the Easter Egg Hunt. We carried our eggs back to the center of the area, in the case of the golden egg, rolling it, and let Sunset count out the points. We had won with 580 points! Huzzah!

Issue 112- Sort of Our New Home

Once we got to the base, Hope, the ginger kangaroo, greeted us and took us across a few bridges to a row of small cottages. "These are the homes. You'll be sharing a room with a few people." She said. We walked into the cottage, and saw a few people we recognized. Lime and I settled down on a couch, taking in our surroundings. The whole air base looked very safe, but from what I heard about Mr.Fluffy, it seems like he can seek out anything, so I decided to enjoy it now, as it was.

Issue 111- A New Base

Me and Lime were sitting on a chair at her house watching a cooking show... is that weird? Well, then the doorbell rang. Lime peered out the window, and realized it was an agent. The ones that collect kids and help defeat phantoms. Sunrise was outside, so we rushed down and opened the door. "We have a new base. It is the biggest of all, and it it in the air. Lime and Lemon, climb up to your bedroom window. There you will see a rainbow. It is now a rainbow, though, it is a slide that will bring you to the new base. We have installed an important hologram system to protect the slides and make them look like rainbows. Meet us at the new air base." She said, and turned around. "Bye!" She called as she left. Lime and I quickly went up to Lime's bedroom. Lime opened the window to reveal a rainbow, but not a rainbow. We knew it was a slide. We slid down it, and entered a small grassy area. The beginning of the air base.
